Thx gt! I dithered about posting this link becoz I don't know whether it numbs the viewer into inaction. I am always interested to see, for instance, that this post gets only one response, while the Friendicoes post (a potentially sad story with an upbeat ending) got several. I don't take the lack of response as a reason NOT to post such links, but it certainly does make me WONDER.
Maybe a blog is not the ideal medium for sobering and deeply disturbing messages? Dunno.
i believe you do the right thing by posting it because we do know that at least some people will watch it - and wasn't it the point of that vid anyway? like sunitha said - its not our money shes after - but rather the hope that it might elicit a response for us to question our unchanging attitudes.
by the way i now have changed my own long held opinion that most human beings are downright stupid (for after all if ignorance was really bliss we would be surrounded by happy people) - but rather it seems that most of us would rather give up our lives than change our attitudes! i wonder if there isn't a strong genetic predisposition in our make up that governs/ forces us to become imbeciles conditioned to the attitudes we grow up in?(kind of like what we had once discussed here about the gr8 book "the god delusion" by dawkins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_God_Delusion who makes the underlying point that religon exists in our society because of the early conditioning every child goes through in his/her culture gt
